What's UP - Press Releases FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BC GAS To Roll Out Utility Partners' MobileUP TAMPA, FL – (November 1, 2000) – Utility Partners announced today that BC Gas Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia is ready to roll out Utility Partners' MobileUP version 5.4. Using standard MobileUP products to meet the mobile data dispatching needs of BC Gas, Utility Partners delivered a fully functional system ready for use in less than four months. The project began in mid-June and included the Mobile Order Entry System (MORS), MobileUP, MobileGate Communications, and Customer Appointment Setting. "One of the critical components that helped implement the project on time and within budget was the ability to integrate MobileUP quickly with our Customer Information and Work Management Systems through a 'middleware' approach using Mercator and MQ series software," said Jim Taylor, Project Manager for BC Gas. "With Utility Partners' project implementation and technical assistance, we were able to quickly move through the planning and implementation phases of this project," added Brent MacPherson, Project Sponsor for BC Gas. "The success of this project is a direct reflection upon the dedication of the BC Gas Integrated Resource Management (IRM) team as well as the support of both BC Gas and Utility Partners' management.
