RF-820-00 General Wireless System Analysis
Service Pre-Requisites:
This service actively test the wireless system for data handling. If the radio system already handles data we will need connect our test system to it in order to do so we must have proper drivers and other interface software. Some of the testing is somewhat invasive in that it will place loading demands on the Wireless System Under Test (WSUT). The final result will be a clear idea of the data handling ability of the WSUT, a view or views of the system when it is loaded with other traffic, particularly if it is a voice system with a data overlay.
Service Description:
This service will perform the following test
24 Hour test Variable Message Length Test Stress/Loading Test Roaming Test Service Acceptance Criteria:
All test must be concluded in order for the Analysis to be complete, if for some reason a test can not be completed due to some customer recognized limitation, the limitation will be clearly documented, and if possible the failed test will be repeated in order to obtain the needed data at a later time when the system permits.
Service Special Conditions:
Access to the wireless system in order to connect equipment needed to execute this test.
Service Deliverables:
A clear report of results of the above test will be rendered in reasonable time. The deliverable will contain data showing the results of each test. The 24 Hour test will be a graph of the 24 hour capture showing round trip times running in either "send on receive" or "Interval Send". The Variable Message Length Test product will be a graph showing round trip times for the selected message sizes sent. The Stress/Loading Test will require multiple data units sending data on the wireless system in order to see the effects of other data units, if the system is a data on voice overlay, the stress test will also show the effects of voice traffic. The Roaming test will check the delays associated with handoff from base station to base station, the product is also a graph of round trip times with handoff points noted if visible. Below are samples of the graphing products that will be present in the report.
