Drive Test Map
Drive Test Maps show problem points. This map shows Received Signal Strength data (RSSI), which is the most common coverage map capture. Another common map capture shows latency, which we use to determine which legs are slow. This may involve server analysis in addition to the standard wireless network analysis.
Depending on what type of wireless system we are gathering data on, we can show maps of not only RSSI and Latency, but in the example of CDPD, subscriber unit transmitter power output, Base Station ID, Sector ID, and SPNI. If the radio can deliver it, we will capture it into the database. Other systems such as RD-Lap will provide us with Base Station ID, Channel ID, RX Quality and radio status.
